Mobile Deposit
  • Mobile Deposit is available to qualifying customers with an approved mobile device (iPhone, Android or tablet)
    or flatbed scanner using our free Mobile Banking app.
  • The device must have an integrated camera to use the app.
  • You must be signed up for Internet Banking to access Mobile Banking and Mobile Deposit.

  • To use Mobile Deposit on your smart phone or tablet, download our free app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
  • From the Dashboard screen, tap deposit at the bottom and select Deposit Check, then follow the steps.

  • Each customer is approved based on the following requirements:
    • •Your demand deposit account has been open for more than 30 days.
    • •You have no charge off or loss on a prior account with Farmers & Drovers Bank.
    • •Your average monthly balance for the past 12 months is positive.
    • •Your loan payments are current.
    • •You have provided us with your current valid address and email address.

How to Use Mobile Deposit

    • Search for and download the F&D Bank app at the Apple Store or Google Play.
      Complete the enrollment process using your Internet Banking login information.
      From the Dashboard tap on deposit at the bottom of the screen, then select Deposit Check from the menu.
      Complete the enrollment steps.
      Approved users must read and accept the Mobile Deposit User Agreement prior to using mobile deposit.

    • Endorse the Check to be Deposited with your Signature and “for Mobile Deposit” within 1½ inches of the Top of the Endorsement Area of the Check.
      Select the Account for the Deposit.
      Enter the Amount of the Check to be Deposited.
      Select the “Take a picture of the front of the check” option. Take the photo, make sure that all four corners of the check are visible, that all information on the check is clear and there are no dark shadows in the photo.
      Select the “Take a picture of the back of the check” option. Take the photo of the endorsed side.
      Write the date of the deposit under the endorsement once the check has been accepted for Mobile Deposit.
      Keep the deposited check for at least 14 days, but not longer than 30 days. Destroy the check using a shredding device.
  • question_answerHelpful Tips for Mobile Deposits
    • All four corners of the check must be visible in the picture. Position the check on a dark or contrasting background so the check is clearly visible. Use good lighting. Make sure there are no visible shadows on the check image. If the image is blurry, retake the photo before you submit the deposit. In some cases you may be able to resubmit the check by Mobile Deposit if it is rejected, an email stating the issue will be sent to email on file. Rejected checks can be deposited at one of our branch locations.

  • textsmsWhat is Mobile Deposit?
    • Mobile Deposit is accessed through our Mobile Banking app available for the iPhone and Android smart phones and tablets. Mobile Deposits can also be made with your flatbed scanner via a secure internet portal. Mobile Deposit enables you to deposit checks using your smartphone or tablet from anywhere or using a flatbed scanner at home. Using the camera on your mobile device, follow the instructions in the app to take a photograph of the front side of the check and the back side of the check –write “For Mobile Deposit” and your signature where you normally endorse checks for deposit. Or using the secure internet portal, sign in and follow the instructions to take a scan of the front side of the check and the back side of the check -- write “For Mobile Deposit” and your signature where you normally endorse checks for deposit.

    • Any current demand deposit account customer can use the Mobile Deposit Service, provided that you meet the following requirements:
      • • Your demand deposit account has been open for more than 30 days.
      • • You have no charge off or loss on a prior account with Farmers & Drovers Bank.
      • • Your average monthly balance for the past 12 months is positive.
      • • Your loan payments are current.
      • • You have provided us with your current valid address and email address.
  • textsmsAre there Fees for using Mobile Deposit?
    • Each check deposited using Mobile Deposit is subject to a $0.50 fee. Our Prime and Choice checking accounts include a limited number of Mobile Deposits as a benefit to the account holder. Please see account details for specific information.
  • textsmsWhat Should I do with the Check after it is Mobile Deposited?
    • Once you have received confirmation that your Mobile Deposit was accepted, you must keep the original check for at least 14 days. You may destroy the check once the 14 days have lapsed, but you agree to destroy the deposited check within 30 days after it is successfully deposited.
  • textsmsWhat is the cut off time for Mobile Deposits?
    The cut off time for Mobile Deposit is 2:00pm. Checks deposited by Mobile Deposit on regular business days will be included in that day’s business if successfully deposited before the 2:00pm cut off time.

    The following daily, monthly and dollar amount limits generally apply for Mobile Deposits.
